The business objective of the project was to review the existing operational structure of the IT Department and define Policies & Procedures using standard Industry best practices, processes and frameworks thereby helping the organisation to streamline the IT operations with it's Business Strategy.The project needed that the Policies accurately capture management's intent, contain clear statements of rules, supports management objectives and are defined in ways that take into account their eventual application and evaluation.
The SolutionStabilix reviewed the existing operations of the IT Department evaluated Frameworks like, SEI CMMi (SW-CMMi®), ISO, COBIT and the IT Infrastructure Library® (ITIL®) and suggested a five phase, ten step approach for this project which included defining the scope and deliverables for the project,assessing the current state,envisioning the future state,performing a gap analysis and based on the findings, define and develop Policies and Procedures.The complete development cycle was followed by presentation and verification of the deliverables with stakeholders.
